Scott Peyton

Scott Peyton is a native of Albemarle County and a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in horticulture.

For many years, Scott put his education to work at Seven Oaks, the family farm in Greenwood, Va., where he ran a landscape business and farm operation producing strawberries, pumpkins and other specialty crops. While farming, Scott became increasingly aware of the loss of land and local agriculture and the diminished production of local food and produce. Scott joined with others in efforts to encourage conservation easements and to help preserve the historic and rural character of our community, especially along the Rte. 250 corridor in western Albemarle.

Upon his retirement from farming, Scott has continued his preservation efforts by entering the real estate field to help those seeking the country life that is such an essential element of our history. Having raised their two children, Scott and his wife Page live on their farm on the Eastern Slopes of the Blue Ridge in Amherst County.
